Alaska's Kenai Peninsula Chapter of Safari Club International is a non-profit organization
dedicated to wildlife conservation, education, humanitarian efforts, and protecting our hunting
heritage.  To further these goals, we will award a $4000 scholarship ($1000 per year for 4 years)
to a graduating senior from any accredited public or private high school within the Kenai
Peninsula Borough.  To be eligible, the student must be accepted into a program of wildlife
management or research curriculum in a related field at an accredited college or university and
enroll for a minimum of 12 semester hours or full-time equivalent.  A trade school or vocational
program in a related discipline will be considered, and future teachers are eligible.

Scholarship monies will be disbursed as reimbursement to the applicant's chosen institution of
higher learning.  Scholarship funds may be used for tuition or books and supplies.  Any funds
not used by the recipient will revert to the AKPSCI scholarship fund.

The scholarship may be renewed each year for continuing education in the approved program.
The applicant must submit transcripts by July 31 and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better.

The scholarship selection will be based on the following criteria:

hunting today.”  SCI reserves right to publish essays.
